Phoebe Rouse, Instructor in the Department of Mathematics, is a recipient of the 2017 Tiger Athletic Foundation Outstanding Instructor Award. The award will be presented on May 3rd, 2017, at the Lod Cook Alumni Center.

LSU performed well on Putnam Exam

LSU performed well on the 2016 Putnam Mathematical Competition, earning a Team Rank of 62nd out of the 415 North American colleges and universities
that participated. This prestigious competition is comprised of a written exam that is administered annually each December, and is widely known as
one of the world's most difficult scientific competitions.

NSF Graduate Fellowship for Daniel Bourgeois

Math Major Daniel Bourgeois received a prestigious NSF Graduate Fellowship. He plans on taking it at the Statistics Department at Rice University.
