Welcome to the site for internal matters of the Department of Mathematics at LSU. All departmental accounts should automatically work for logging in. If you wish to sponsor an account for someone who doesn't have an account with the Department of Mathematics at LSU, please contact the system administrators. Read more for instructions on how to use this system.

Creating content

To create pages of your own, start by clicking on the "create content" link on the left (alternately, start with the "my workspace" link, see below). You will be provided with four options (not in this order):

• forum topic: This allows direct posting of a new topic in the forums. You will need to select which forum you wish to post in from the drop-down box (and note that although top-level containers are shown for reference, they don't directly allow posting).
• book page: This (perhaps also poorly-named) content type allows you to create connected pages in a hierarchy, and also does not show up under the blog listings. For instance, you can create a top-level entry called "Research", and then create a number of attached pages underneath it with various other names, which will then be listed automatically whenever you view that top level entry.

Privacy

All content created is by default displayed to the entire world, and allows comments to be added by any user logged into the system (anonymous comments are currently disabled). If you wish to restrict access to a specific group, you can click a checkbox below the main text entry when editing an entry to either restrict access to specific groups, or allow additional groups to edit the entry. WARNING: it is entirely possible to restrict access to content you have created to a group that does not include yourself! If you do this, you will be unable to see your own page, and will be unable to edit it to reverse this. Other Features

You can maintain a collection of browser-independent bookmarks via the "my bookmarks" link. The "my workspace" link will allow you to list all of the nodes that you have created. If you want to send a note to a system administrator without going through the e-mail system, the feedback link will allow this.
