LSU Mathematics Department Graduate Student Picnic & Orientation Conference Saturday, September 16, 2006, 9:45 AM - 2 PM
The faculty of the LSU Math Department would like to welcome all mathematics graduate students to bring in the new academic year by hosting the annual Graduate Student Picnic & Orientation Conference on Saturday, September 16, 2006 at the LSU Hilltop Arboretum. The event will feature talks by faculty members and graduate students, along with breakfast, lunch and various activities in beautiful natural surroundings.
Continuing students meet the new ones. New students meet the continuing ones and the faculty.
This event will be an opportunity for all of us — new and continuing students, faculty, staff, and families — to get acquainted, and for the new students to hear first hand about areas of research interest in the department.
