Ana Bălibanu

I am a tenure-track assistant professor at Louisiana State University. Previously, I was a Benjamin Peirce Fellow and NSF Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard University.

I received my Ph.D. from the University of Chicago, where my advisor was Victor Ginzburg. Before that, I was an undergraduate at Caltech.

My area of research is geometric representation theory. I'm particularly interested in algebraic groups and their connections to symplectic and Poisson geometry. My work is partially supported by NSF Grant DMS-2401514.

Here is my CV.
