Air Travel


Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport (BTR) is conveniently located close to downtown Baton Rouge and to the LSU campus. The best way to reach the LSU campus from BTR is by taxi or Lyft/Uber (about $25 ride). There are always taxis available at the terminal.

Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) is about 70 miles from Baton Rouge. The main travel options between New Orleans and Baton Rouge are Greyhound bus and car rental.

If you plan to seek reimbursement for a car rental from the conference, please contact the organizers for guidance before booking the rental car. LSU provides a site with additional travel information, including campus parking information.

For those wanting to explore the Baton Rouge area, a car rental is recommended. The main taxi company is Yellow Cab; Lyft and Uber also operate within the city.




Parking


Coates Hall C Lot (LSU Parking map) is next to Coates Hall and is free on weekends. Parking is free for guests at both conference hotels (The Cook Hotel and Sonesta ES Suites).Guest parking on campus is available for a fee on the third floor of the Union Square Parking Garage (Google Maps link).
