The course will cover most of the material from chapters 1 to 11. We will need to cover around 2 sections per class meeting. Not all chapters are equally important and the most important material is in the last few chapters. We will therefore spend relatively short time on the first two chapter. But we urge all students to read the book and look carefully at the examples in the book.
The planned list of sections, but subject to changes, is:
Chapters 1 and 2.
Sections 3.1 to 3.5.
Chapters 4, 5, and 6.
Sections 7.1 to 7.4.
Chapter 8.
Sections 9.1 and 9.2.
Chapters 10 and 11.
