Daily Agenda: July 15--20.

All activities will take place in Peabody 225, except Tuesday and Thursday afternoon, which will be in Peabody 118 (the computer lab).

7:45 AM	Coffee and snack, compliments of the workshop staff.
8:00 AM	Session I. Learning about Mathematics Content.
9:45 AM	Session II. More about Mathematics Content.
11:30 AM	Brown bag lunch.
NOON	Session III. Learning about Assessment.
1:30 PM	Collaborative work.
2:30 PM	Day ends.

Notes: Monday Session I will be devoted to orientation activities. On Thursday afternoon, visiting speakers Susannah Craig and/or David Hopkins from the Louisiana State Department of Education will provide an overview of state specifications, guidelines and requirements for the LEAP tests. They will demonstrate the State Department's interactive test web site.

Message to Participants: If available from your school, please obtain the following units from Investigations in Data, Number and Space and bring them with you:

Kindergarten: How Many In All?
First Grade: Number Games and Story Problems
Second Grade: Putting Together and Taking Apart
Third Grade: Combining and Comparing
Fourth Grade: Money, Miles and Large Numbers
Fifth Grade: Building on Numbers You Know

Each participant will receive a three-ring binder with handouts, readings, etc. During workshop sessions, "shoe box kits" with needed materials will be provided.
