With this MATLAB software, you can record sounds with a microphone or load existing sound files, perform rudimentary editing of the wave data, select portions of the wave data for harmonic analysis, enable/disable individual Fourier coefficients, and graphically and aurally compare the result with the original sound.

• The current version is 1.3 (August 2003).
• The software is essentially self-contained: just put the file fourierworkshop.m in your MATLAB path, and run the command "fourierworkshop" from within MATLAB.
• To be able to hear the welcome message when the software starts, also put the file welcomeToFourier.au in your MATLAB path.
• Finally, if the record operation of the software does not work, then you'll need the file record.m. (Newer versions of MATLAB may already have something like that.)
