Control Theory

Faculty members: Guillermo Ferreyra, Jimmie Lawson, and Peter Wolenski

A Ph.D. graduate student studying control theory in the Electrical Engineering Department could possibly obtain a Master's Degree in Mathematics by taking the following Mathematics courses: Linear Operators on Hilbert Space, Dynamic Optimization, Discrete Optimization, and Matrix Analysis.

There are a number of EE courses that would be compatible with this degree program. These include:

  1. EE 7510: Advanced Linear Systems
  2. EE 7520: Optimal Control Theory
  3. EE 7525: Robust Control
  4. EE 7570: Nonlinear Systems Analysis
  5. EE 7580: Computer Process Control
  6. EE 7585: Advanced Digital Control Systems.
